Tina & Craig
A Marvelously Modern Affair
Tina and Craig are a maximally modern couple: they met on Facebook, live in New York City and have cosmopolitan jobs in fashion and luxury. They chose Eventi - a Kimpton Hotel, for the heated Veranda overlooking 6th Avenue with views of the Empire State Building and for the fairy tale feel in the Ventana ballroom, where they had their ceremony.
The big day began at 11am when the bride and groom were escorted into their suites on opposite ends of the same floor. He donned a tux by Vera Wang and she slipped into a gown by Amsale. Their traditional Jewish ceremony was held in the Ventianca ballroom, chosen for its elegance and modernity, surrounded by friends and family all dressed to the nines.
One of the couple's favorite moments was right after they were pronounced husband and wife. "The curtains opened where a picture of us appeared across the huge screen for our guests and the world to see! The rest of the evening the screen was filled with pictures of us and the guests," they said, citing one of those rare moments when technology contends with magic.
The reception was held on the fifth floor Veranda, decorated with calla lilly flowers, soft, dim lighting and tiny white candles. Champagne, cocktails and hors de ouerves were aplenty, while the dance floor was packed with celebratory tail-shakers. With the city skyline as the backdrop, only the couple shone brighter than all the glittering lights below.
Tina and Craig spent their honeymoon in the breathtaking Eventi Suite, our 1,400 square foot stunner with its own private terrace. We can't imagine a more sophisticated way to say "Just Married!"
